The NCUK International Year One in Business Management is a first-year undergraduate equivalent programme that develops students' foundational knowledge and skills in business.

Students who successfully complete this programme are guaranteed entry to the second year of an international bachelor's degree at a top-ranked NCUK partner university, with a wide range of degree courses to choose from.

Assessment is structured as 25% coursework and 75% examination. Each semester includes formative tasks designed to prepare you for summative assessments, supported by homework assignments and practice with past examination questions. Summative assessments are conducted independently for each module.

Throughout your studies, you will have access to a wide range of learning support platforms and e-resources, including LinkedIn Learning for continuous professional development and certifications.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for this programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

A Grade B or above in GCSE Mathematics or equivalent. NCUK IFY Mathematics or NCUK IFY Half Mathematics at Grade D may also be accepted.

AND one of the following:

A minimum of 48 NCUK foundation points with at least 2 subjects from the NCUK IFY programme, and a minimum NCUK EAP Grade D.
A minimum Grade D in 3 relevant UK-recognised (Edexcel/Cambridge) A-Level subjects.
A minimum Grade S in 3 relevant Sri Lankan A-Level subjects, with a GCE (O/L) Credit Pass (Grade 4) for English and a Password Test score of 5.5 or above.

AND

Successful completion of a satisfactory entry interview, assessing motivation, post-diploma study plans, and preparedness for the programme.
