The BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence degree offers an internationally recognized qualification designed to equip you with cutting-edge skills in Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing. You’ll also gain hands-on experience in tackling real-world challenges, exploring global industry applications such as intelligent recommendations, predictive forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
The BSc in Artificial Intelligence is designed around real-world developments and their influence on modern industries. You’ll engage in thought-provoking discussions that span topics from knowledge representation and data analytics to how global challenges shape intelligent, tech-driven solutions.
In the internship-based module, you’ll spend six months working with a real company, gaining hands-on industry experience and building professional skills. Your placement may involve exciting projects in Machine Learning, Data Science, real-world solution development, or other emerging areas in Computing, helping you bridge the gap between theory and practice.
To help you build strong industry connections, the programme features inspiring career talks, company visits, and guest lectures from leading industry professionals. You’ll be guided by experienced academics who combine real-world expertise, research excellence, and a passion for teaching, ensuring you gain both practical insight and academic depth.

GCE Advanced Level - Sri Lankan: 3 passes in either mathematics or the bio-science streams. Cambridge or Edexcel: 3 D passes in mathematics, physics, or information technology-related subjects. And GCE/GCSE Ordinary Level – Credit Passes (Grade 4) for English and Mathematics. Enrolment option for Level 4 Semester 2: Students may enroll at the beginning of Level 4 (Semester 2), provided they achieve 70% or above marks in all three modules during the Level 4 (Semester 1) examination.

You will engage with cutting-edge AI concepts through group discussions, video presentations, and activity-based learning, while tutorials and workshops focus on real-world applications to develop both technical and soft skills, like teamwork and problem-solving. Additionally, to support lifelong learning, we provide students with the opportunity to use LinkedIn Learning for continuous development and to earn diverse certifications.
You will be well-prepared to begin your career in roles such as AI Engineer, Machine Learning Developer, Data Analyst, AI-Application Developer, or Software Engineer. These roles will allow you to apply AI techniques, develop intelligent systems, and solve real-world problems across various industries.
As you progress in your career, you can advance into positions such as AI Specialist, Data Scientist, Technical Lead, or AI Solutions Architect, where you will design and implement AI-driven technologies.
