Ms. Hashini Madhushika is an academic who is passionate about language teaching and research related to second language teaching and learning. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kelaniya. Hashini is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Jayewardenepura. Hashini commenced her career as a research assistant at the Sri Lanka Press Institute, supporting research on journalism and the safety of journalists. She then joined the Department of English Language Teaching at Wayamba University of Sri Lanka as a Temporary Instructor in English. While practicing and exploring different ways in which teaching skills can be improved, she has engaged in teaching, material development, paper setting, and course design that enhance the learning of young adults. Hashini is an enthusiastic and dedicated English lecturer who inspires love for learning languages by implementing innovative teaching methods and incorporating multimedia resources and interactive activities.
